Who We Are

Rooted in Experience. Driven by Professional Excellence.
IASP is a collaborative network of practitioners and professionals dedicated to the success of Indiana’s school leaders. Our leadership structure is a deliberate mix of expertise designed to provide high-level support for our members:

Practitioner Led: Our Directors and Board of Directors are current and former school administrators. They have walked in your shoes
and stay rooted in the daily realities of Indiana schools to ensure
our programs are always relevant and impactful.

Professionally Powered: Our professional staff provides the essential expertise in communications, finance, and conference
coordination that allows IASP to serve as a modern, innovative, and
effective voice for our members.

Together, we are a statewide network that understands the challenges of school leadership and works year-round to ensure you have the resources needed to lead with confidence.

Why We Do What We Do

Because Leadership Matters.

Your work shapes school culture, staff morale, and student success. You carry responsibilities that others may never see. We exist to ensure you never have to carry them alone. We do this because we know a simple truth: When principals grow and reflect, schools thrive.

How We Support Our Principals

Personalized Support for Every Stage. Leadership can be isolating, but it shouldn’t be. At IASP, we provide meaningful, personal, and ongoing support through:

  • Individualized Coaching: One-on-one guidance from experienced school leaders.
  • Real-Time Resources: Access to the IndianaGram, podcasts, and member-exclusive LiveBinders.
  • Advocacy: A powerful, unified voice at the Statehouse and with the IDOE.

Peer Connection: Networking that turns “colleagues” into a lifelong support system.

Our Model: The Leadership Continuum

Mapping Your Journey to Excellence. We believe professional growth is a lifelong journey, not a one-time event. To help you navigate your career, IASP has organized all programs and conferences into four distinct stages of the Leadership Continuum.

This model ensures that whether you are just starting out or leading at an executive level, you can easily identify the resources designed specifically for your current needs.

Aspiring

For educators considering a leadership role or preparing for the next step.

Launching

For new administrators (Years 1-5) focused on building confidence and establishing identity.

Building

For practicing leaders strengthening systems, refining practices, and expanding impact.

Mastering

For experienced leaders leading at a high level and mentoring others.

Beyond the Continuum: Ongoing Support

Professional Resources & Legal Guidance. Regardless of your stage on the continuum, all members have access to our foundational support services:

Coaching

Flexible packages (20, 40, or 60 hours) for one-on-one strategic support.

Email Dr. Tiffany Barrett to get started.

Legal

Access to the KGR Help Desk and contractual guidance.

Advocacy

Voices of Our Members

“As educational leaders, we need to stay informed, have a support system of our own, and commit to lifelong learning in order to continue growing as educators. IASP provides all of that and more. It connects principals to a community of peers who understand the challenges of the role, keeps us current on legislation and best practices, and offers resources that help us grow personally and professionally. Quite simply, it is the best professional organization for principals—period.”
